Isolated squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Southern Waters and Islands of Hong Kong. Intense gusts of around 70 kilometres per hour were recorded at Tai O at around 4:30 p.m. Intense gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may continue to affect Southern Waters and Islands of Hong Kong. Members of the public are advised to take the following precautions when thunderstorms occur: 1. Seek safe shelter as soon as possible if you are outdoors. 2. Leave the water. Do not swim outdoors or engage in other outdoor water sports. 3. Do not stand on high ground. Keep away from highly conductive objects, trees or masts. 4. Take precautions against intense gusts.
